I just wanted to get you guys opinion.Since this forum almost decides which way to go 90% of the time.

I wanted to know what you guys think. I want to get front fog lIghts, I am undecided between hella 500 and hella black magic's. I currently havce a black 4runner with DYI blakc head lights. I think the black magic would look really nice with all the black. htey would also be low pro during the day time.BUt hteir like $200. I was thinking that too much black is overkill. I also like the hella 500 they would look good with with my still clear fog and drl's. They also are also like $60($49.99 at pepboys). they would stand out alot in the day and night making my truck look more aggressive. i know they are about the same size. But the 500's are a little thinner. Do you guys think the black magics are worth triple as much. I wanted to mount them with the floating front bumper mount. THANKS momo.75 ALOT!!!!!

I just added the jaos fogs. I just think it would be really cool to have a high beam low beam foglight. I just dont like the look very much and the price isn't that bad compared to the black magics.$almost 400.

Well I voted the Hella 500s and not just because I own them. From what you described on how you'll be mounting them, they will be pretty open for accidental damage. You can tap someon's bumper with the lights or someone can back into them and there is nothing protecting them with the floating mount that Momo used. SO, if you want to use that mounting option then I'd go for the cheaper Hella 500s because it won't sting as bad if it is damaged.

The Black Magics are almost 1" larger than the 500s otherwise I would have got them for my setup (Westin Safari Grill). Westin says it only supports 6" lights but the Hella 500s are closer to 7" and they squeeze right in. There is a way to squeeze the BMs into the Hella but I'm just too lazy to make the mounts and too cheap to shell out the $200+.

Visually speaking, the Black Magics win hands down. They just look really awesome when they are on or off.

I just can't justify the costs for the JAOS products. Sure they look nice, but man your wallet will be hurting.

Why not to take in consideration PIAA.
I have PIAA 540 Fogs and they are awesome lights, very bright and extremely helpful in fog, heavy rain and snow.

i prefer lights without the grill. I would rather have some plastic stone sheilds....lol

I currently have an ark front brush gaurd. I would rather have the lights lower.

You can always remove the grille and you'll have the lights without the grille. You can also get plastic covers for those lights.
