Fog Light Wiring Question

I have a question on the factory wiring. I'm installing aftermarket fogs that draw more amps than the factory fogs so I'm running the included wiring harness and relay to power them. They came with an independent switch but I want to wire them up so the factory switch activates them.

I tapped into the factory fog harness at the factory connector for the fogs lights (there's two, + and -) but neither will activate the relay. To test, I hooked it up straight to the battery and the relay clicked strong and they fired right up. So it appears the factory fog circuit isn't getting power?

I just installed a winch bumper and I see another unplugged connector ( 4 wires) next to the driver side factory fog connector but can't recall what it went to. My thought was maybe this provides upstream power to the fog harness?

Any advice on why I'm not getting power is appreciated!

Thanks, yea. I'll read through it. I don't care so much about fog control independent of the headlights, I just want to factory fog switch to turn them on.

Well I don't know what the heck that was all about. Broke the wiring down and re-did it and now it's working.. must have missed something. Sorry for the confusion, I knew it didn't seem right! Hella micro de projector fogs here:

Hi JSparky,

What you want to do can be done; I run my fogs with my headlights off all the time:

...and my fogs and lowbeams are HID's/NO ANNOYING GLARE TO OPPOSING TRAFFIC!

It's getting late (been putting toys and dolls in my shopping cart)! If you still need help tmrw mention me and I'll try and help, 'Best'
