Fog Lights

I keep having to replace the drivers side fog light blub constantly. I just installed 4000k Yellow fogs this weekend and on my to work this morning I notice it was out again. I have had the electrical tested and no shorts or spikes were found!

Anyone have any ideas? Should I look into replacing my fog lights?

is there corrosion in there? I just had to replace my passenger side bulb and it was full of water so I left the back off of the light so it could hopefully dry out in the sun.

otherwise what kind of bulbs are you getting, and where from?

The light itself it dry and has a good seal. I have not noticed any moisture in it at all.
I got the latest bulbs off of e-bay thru Formula-j87. Before that I got the bulbs from Kragen.

in addition to moisture, it's possible that the contacts are corroded inside the housings. hit them up with a small wire brush and put new bulbs in.

This should help to keep further moisture out of the housings. have helped me thus far and i'm in rainy, rainy washington: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/87159-those-hella-micro-des-fogging.html (edit: just read that you have no moisture, but never hurts to do)

Make sure you're not touching the glass or the oils in your skin will kill a bulb fast. I've also found that cheap bulbs, expecially those with massive amounts of colored coating on them blow FAST. I've seen them go within a matter of days. A clean, quality bulb should last a long time.

I think that is the problem, cheap bulbs, I will clean the contacts and replace them tonight with the clear ones I have and see what happens. Thanks for the input!
