My dealer told me that the only way I could get a 2017 Off-Road Premium with KDSS was to also get the sunroof option.

My head hits the ceiling in sunroof models, so I had to "order" the +KDSS/non-sunroof.

Hoping for a 3 month wait, but realistically I'd be happy to have it in 6 months.

Coordinating with a local dealer for a TRD Off-Road Premium. Question ... when a dealer says that there are "some '17 4Runners allocated" for that dealership, and that they now have a VIN number for the specific one I want, does having a VIN number mean that the 4R already has been built, at the port, and awaiting transport to the dealership? Is there a way to track its whereabouts?
The wait is just killing me!

Man, I've had my eye on a TRDP for a while now but jeez, the whole process of trying to secure one is a bit much. (Not to mention the price gouguing!)

I was thinking of doing the TEP conversion thingy, but now with the OffRoadPro being so garish in all it's *labeling* I'm not really sure what to do. It's been said to many times by so many others, but damn the way Toyota deals with orders is just ridiculous.

Why can't I just order a discreet TEP/OffRoadPro with the factory TRDPro lift, wheels and dual climate controls with no sunroof? Still loving my '07 Tacoma, but my interest in the T4R is quickly waning....

It would take you 20 minutes to remove those badges. I hear you re paying the MSRP on a pro, yet I'm on a waiting list. Turned down a red one yesterday. Tough call for me also since my '13 TE is barely broken in at 20k miles.

Ordered last night

Just put down the $500 deposit on a Cement TRDP. Told that the first that I would hear from them would be in about a month. Total time to delivery would be 2-3 months conservatively. Excited to hopefully join the club. Have already learned a healthy amount from just reading this forum. What a great resource.

Might want to do some more searching around TX just for fun... Gulf States definitely has some Cement TRDPs inbound. There were two available up here in Northwest Arkansas, I went with the dealer that offered the better deal. The ETA I have on my Cement TRDP as of today is the end of the month.

They are a bit of a drive. Checked uber when the dealer told me and they're quoting about $80-100. Figured a bit of delayed gratification is good for me and it's another $100 I have for mods and etc.
