Gulf States Toyota sent out a bulletin with pricing. I don't know what they've done in other regions.

Here are the main differences.
TRD Off Road will get you the crawl mode and optional KDSS. From what I have found the KDSS is now limited to the TRD Off Road.
TRD Off Road vs TRD Off Road Premium.
Premium gets you turn signals on your side mirrors, optional sun roof, navi is included. You also get TRD stitched in the head rests.
TRD Off Road will not have any of what is listed above.
I could not confirm the upgraded shocks. However if they stay consistent with the Tacoma Off Road they should be included.
This is not information I get from any dealer.

Makes no sense that KDSS would only be on what we now call the TE and not the TEP.

Maybe I did a bad job explaining. The KDSS is an option on the TRD Off Road and TRD Off Road Premium. But it was not an option when I built an SR5 4x4.
I am an employee and have the ability to build any vehicle for purchase. This is how I am able to provide the details.
I hope this clears things up.

So other than the branding, sunroof being an option on TRD Off Road Premium, and possibly the upgraded shocks, am I missing any other differences? Colors on the TRD Off Road are the same as 2016 Trail colors? Thanks for the info!

Crawl mode is on the TRD editions.
The colors appear to be the normal selection. As am example Cement is only on the PRO.
I cannot comment on the Trail features. I just stepped into the 4 Runner world as an owner a few months ago.

I'm in San Antonio as well an on 5th of December I paid $500.00 for the placement order of 1 TRD PRO 4Runner(Cement Color).Cavender manager I delt with said I am the first to place an order for one.Maybe salesmen talk but we shall see middle of January is when they're saying it will come in.Fingers crossed

Know anyone at Cavender? Like I said I am going to call out there about a truck they list in inventory before making the drive and I have found that asking for someone that someone knows or recommends always pans out better than getting the first yahoo who answers the phone.

Oh... that's for me. Yep I'm in San Antonio. I don't have a contact at Cavendar that I would recommend. I ended buying from Red McCombs. I just happened to notice they had a gray trail premium sitting on the lot.

I don't know anyone at Cavendar but do go their for service. They are a solid dealership.
I have a really good contact at Boerne and an ok contact at North Park.

Best of luck. I'm sure others here know better but everything I hear is so all over the place. A couple weeks ago when people were posting here that they heard TRD's were able to be ordered and would start hitting in 1/17 and 2/17 I called my guy here in Houston and a few other large dealerships. The response was the same from all of them and it was enough that I immediately reverted back to the trail. I couldn't even get them to take my money. And they assured me there was no chance I saw one by February. I hope for all those with cash down they were wrong.
Ironically, this one is for my wife. She wants a TRD. We can't get it with any reasonable assurance and time frame so she is getting a trail. I wanted a trail but could not find one when I was looking but had no problem finding and buying a TRD, so that is what I have. Such is life.

I know that dealerships don't always have everything listed on their website. I went to the dealership expecting to walk out with a stock gray SR5 Premium I saw on the website. While looking at the truck I found on the website, I happened to see a gray truck with the "mid-life crisis package" (3" lift, aftermarket wheels) that I ending up buying. There was also a white SR5 Premium with a 3" lift and a red T-Force on the lot that weren't on the website. You might give the dealership a call to see if there is anything on the lot that isn't on the website. My sales guy at Red McCombs was Josh Garcia and he was very knowledgeable about the 4R line. I went through 2 sales guys who were clueless about 4Rs before getting connected with Josh.

Mr FamilyMopar here's the people I talked to:Red MCCombs Toyota I talked to Shane Mitchell (210)573-5777 (cell) he's the sales guy that I've been dealing with for the 17 TRD PRO and he does all the lifts and rims for the 4runners.At Cavender I'm dealing with Robert Barnes (210)787-7096( cell#) he's the one I cut a check to for the ordering of mt 17 in cement for me.
