Pretty much what I was told on my Tundra in Cement. The only other Tundra double cabs in Cement have been over 1000 miles away. Not in a huge hurry though, waiting to see how this election pans out.
For anyone waiting on a 17

I get people the exact vehicle they want all the time. I guess it depends on your region though and how they do things.
I put down my deposit for the 2017 TRD Pro 4Runner in white.....Living in Canada, so they honestly have no idea when or what will actually be available to me. Ready for the longs wait, and work on selling my 2016 TRD Pro Tundra. If only the 4Runner been released last year in Canada

That is good to know. I ordered a '17 Pro from a local Texas dealer and he acted like it would be no problem getting me what I want. I bought a LC200 from him a few years ago and everything went well so hopefully my new 4Runner will arrive without issue. He did say first part of next year on delivery when I placed my order three weeks ago.
So what options on a 2017 TRD Pro would be considered a must have?
There still is no sunroof option?
I talked with several dealers about ordering a TRD Pro and supposedly in Dec. Toyota will start production and dealers will officially place orders for customers.
I was told vehicles will hit dealer lots sometime in January.

Its really is no problem. Once the vehicle shows in each dealers pipeline they just have to click on which accessories to add at the port and it's done.
Did you manage any discount or are you at MSRP?

You need to know what's the actual dealer invoice before you start discussions....also remember they get incentives on the back end.
The dealers are not going to discount much if anything off MSRP for a 2017 TRD 4runner.
Considering how TRD Pros hold their value paying MSRP evens out.
The 2016 TEP are going for close to invoice in my area and current inventory is not moving all that well.
Toyota will probably be offering great incentives for the remaining 2016s.
The situation maybe different in Canada, especially in my area, thus why I was asking a fellow Canuck if he got a discount on the TRDP.
I'm just hoping dealers in my area won't know the difference between the TRDP and the TRD off road (which is currently named the trail) and will offer the same kinds of discounts that I was offered for a trail.
Either way, I'm getting the TRDP

I guess if Toyota decided to build more TRDP 4runners we might see some movement off MSRP.
I would think even the remote dealers in Canada would know how valuable a TRDP 4runner is.

The wait is going to eat you alive. But it's worth it.
I'll make sure to report back once I put a deposit on the TRDP, but I'm waiting until pricing is announced so that I can at least attempt to negotiate. And I can guarantee that most here on the forums know a lot more about the product than your average salesman or sales manager.
My sales rep said that it will have many parts that are from the limited, like the hood scoop. And he said that while we were both staring at the technical data sheets of the 2017 model year trucks, and hood scoop was listed under the "TRD off road" column of the sheet
Hey Beer Runner! I used the same dealership you recommended to me. Unfortunately I couldn't get the deal you got but I was happy to get something off of MSRP.

No problem, man. I am glad they did take care of you. I had a written offer of the same, from out of state. So I suppose that helped. You'll love the truck. I've serviced my Pro at Kool a few times now and the staff has been great. They did the new Bilstein TSB for me right away with no quibbles.

Don't count on it. I've worked for Toyota for over 6 years and there has never been incentives on 4Runners. Even when previous model years are still on the lot.
I'm just amazed how easy I got the dealers to invoice on the 2016 forerunner.
The thing is Toyota is not selling vehicles like they used to so they're going to be motivated to move product and that will probably include the four runners.
I have three dealers near me that have 15 to 20 runners in stock right now.
I just heard on the financial news today that Toyota sales are down now in the U.S.
Two years ago all the same dealers wouldn't even hardly move off MSRP on a 4Runner.
It's definitely a car buyers market.
No stock like that near me in South Florida. I can understand discounting a 16. Not many people will buy a 16 so close to being able to get a 17. I sure wouldn't. When you think about resale nobody cares that you bought the vehicle at the end of the model year. It is still that model year.
At least the news you reported sounds like a win for new buyers. Except for they're still not going to discount 17 very much till later in the year if at all. Also depends where you are located I'm sure.
