Just pulled off of my 4Runner, 14 months old, excellent shape

P265/70/R16 111S
Treadwear 300 Temperature B Traction B

New/spare tire tread measures 3/8"
4 lightly used tires tread measure 2/8"


New they cost $102 each on the Internet plus $109 shipping for 5 tires

I am asking $250 if they are picked up from me. I won't sell them
separate unless the 4 used sell together first.

How many miles are on these since you put them on? That's more important than the number of months they were in service.

As for the price; you may get more interest if you offer some form of shipment service...

I'd be interested in a spare set of tires if they could be shipped reasonably to me...

I have never shipped tires but the Tire Rack charges $109 when they ship 5 tires. I don't have a way to band the tires together like they do. If anybody has advice I would welcome it.

Mileage is 17,985 but but I thought that the depth of tread was actually more important than miles as an indicator of rate of wear and remaining wear.

Shipping Tires

I guess you prepare for shipping by doing the following:
You could go to your local Staples and buy a roll of shrink wrap and put it around the tires several times. Before you do this you could tape together with some good duct tape. Then put your shipping label on and go over that with the shrink wrap.

This is basically what the tire rack does...

If it is shrink wrap do you have to somehow heat it? Otherwise it is just a plastic wrap.

The other thing that I see is trying to move 5 tires wrapped together. I need to check with FedEx since I have an account with them. Maybe break it into two bundles of three and two tires.....

Most places usually wrap them up two at a time... I'm sure three at a time probably wouldn't be too bad, though.

just went online to FedEx. Using 37 pounds per tire and saying they are 32 x 32 x 11 inches each, going in twos and a single, it runs around $200 to ship all of them.



I am guessing that the TireRack gets a better rate than I do.

Shrink Wrap

No heat--it's just a real sticky plastic wrap used for shipping. I would wrap two together.

I sold a set of Wheels and tires off my 98 mustang a couple years ago... I just put each one in its own box and shipped them fedex ground... It was 17 dollars or so a tire, I remember the total coming to 75ish. And wheels and tires are guaranteed to weigh more than tires alone.

Using your weight, and dimensions specs, and FEDEX ground, I get 14.42 per tire.

Yep, Bridgestone Dueler H/T 265/70-16 is the stock tire that came on all 3rd gen 4Runners, but I think I can get a better price on ebay...
