Yes its for the V-6 4.0. By loud I mean that above around 3.5-4k RPM up to WOT it is pretty loud. I had a short ram intake before on a 2000 accord 3.0 V-6 and it is about the same noise level. Personally it just seemed a bit out of place on the truck for me. Yes I did notice a fuel imprvment mpg of around 1.5.
