The ARB awning room complements the 4runner very well if any of you are considering getting one

Which size do you have? Auto anything has 20% off until the 13th. I was looking last night and they have two different sizes.

So forgive my ignorance...this is essentially a room/tent attached to the side of your truck? I think this would work great for beach days, just cant quite figure out how it works!

Hahahahah that's awesome! Any worries about waterproof-ness of it without much of a sloped roof?

Also, is there space to lie down?

Same material as the roof top tents so it's waterproof.... If it rains, just adjust one leg of the awning to slope the water off

You could easily fit 3 or 4 people laying down... It's about 7x7

Can you elaborate as to exactly what you have/ordered? I can't seem to find anything informational on Arb's website

You need an awning first... TJM, ARB, CVT, Tepui, Ironman all sell versions of similar soft sided awnings.... 1250, 2000, 2500 are common sizes which are 4,6.5,8 feet respectively

Then get this..

ARB TOURING AWNING ROOM WITH FLOOR 2000MM (ARB4411A)

Adjust your sizes as necessary to fit what awning you have

nice! I have been thinking about getting an awning for the Runner since I have the rtt on the trailer now.

Looks nice, and is certainly less bulky than an RTT. I bet setup takes a bit longer and it is not all self contained like an RTT. Kind of a nice compromise though.

This got me curious so I tried to time myself doing both as I have a CVT Mt. Hood on a bantam as well...

Awning and room... 7:56

Fricken decent! I'm surprised to see another t4r guy with a bantam since the are quite a bit rarer than the run of the mill m416. Did you swap the Axel? I'm curious to know how you are running 6 lug wheels if you didn't. Here is mine:

It snowed the first night out lol
