This got me curious so I tried to time myself doing both as I have a CVT Mt. Hood on a bantam as well...

Awning and room... 7:56

The part that makes the RTT the winner to me is that once it's folded out I already have the bedding all there and in place. To include mattress, pillows, and a double sleeping bag. All of that would have to be stored and set up separately in the awning room. And I am sure stowing the RTT is simpler.

The awning is awesome because you can stand in it and don't have to climb anything. And is much less bulk on the roof. It would be invaluable if you were camping in wet weather and needed a dry place to cook.

All in all nice piece of equipment. Thanks for sharing.

I recently did..... recently made a trip and didn't feel like pulling the trailer so it was just the awning, the room and my new queen size ALPS Mountaineering airbed..... worked like a charm and was able to access the rear doors directly for supplies
