For those with Westin Safari Bar

Thinking of placing round driving lights on top of bar (either drilling or fabricating a bracket) - so it will be almost at bumper level. What do you think?

Sounds like a good idea to me. I think that would place the lights to almost level of the head lights. I've seen some fog light brackets where they clamp onto round tubing. You may not even have to do any custom fabricating...

I was thinking about doing the same thing but on my T&H bull bar. I have small lights where the tabs are but I'd much rather have 100w+ of lighting power .

Found this bracket to fit 2" tubing:

You could just drill into the bar. It's not a structural member so it won't hurt. That's what I'm thinking of doing. Either that or weld tabs on the top.

Don't weld, Just drill and use stainless hardware.

Need black screws to go with this as well.

Also, saw an H2 2" bracket for $50 but picture was not clear enough if it will fit.

I did see $1.50, 2" brackets at electrical section at home depot, but it does not look thick enough to hold lamps.

I don't know anyone that has a welding machine, so it will probably cost more (labor) if I go the light tab route.

For drilling, not to sure if tube is thick enough. Also have to live with hole (or patched hole), if I do not like the end results.

The black screws are easy. You can buy them annodized black here: http://www.mcmaster.com/

I'll have to keep an eye out because I do like the idea.
