According to privacy report on iPhone safari browser it prevented 43 trackers from this website. Over 5x more than any other website I’ve recently been to

Yeah, for now, I've decided to only access this site from desktop via chrome with uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, and Https Everywhere extensions turned on.

Only this website and only on my iPhone. Two days now.

I just emailed the address found at the "Contact Us" link at the footer of the site. I explained the issue some of the iPhone users are experiencing, and also the fact that even desktop users are noticing more warnings and blocked popups and trackers.

Hopefully it's as simple as a forum software security update or something?

We'll see. Until I get a response, I'll just avoid hitting this site from my iPhone.

Update:

After a full factory reset and restore from an iCloud backup that predates this issue by a few weeks, I spent a more than 24 hours using my phone normally, browsing normally, but not visiting this site. I experienced no redirects or popups at all.

After more than 24 hours, I decided to visit this forum as a test. Remember, this forum was the only site I experienced this redirect problem with.

About 2 minutes after I visited this site again, I got the same redirect to goodluckdog dot space. Again, only on this website. Not others.

So I downloaded Taptalk and I’m hitting the forum via the app on my iPhone. So far so good. Not seeing that redirect at all as long as I avoid hitting this forum via Safari browser on iPhone.

YMMV, obviously :)

Has anyone experienced this? I've been getting these recently and I think my phone is suffering a malware issue. Time to hard reset and clean the iCloud.......

Looks like the admins took the next step in securing this site. It now rocking the "secure" on the hyper text transfer protocol. httpS.
Before it was a wide open http.
Would have been great if the admins did this way earlier. Hope it will cut down on all this rif raf goings ons.

Redirects

This might be due to rogue Google Ads, which redirect you to fake landing pages. I had the same issues with the RAV4 Forum about a year ago.

If I ran it with ad-blockers on, no problems. As soon as I turned off the Ad-Blockers, the redirects started up again, which is pointing to rogue ads.

Forum hacked? Getting lots of pop ups and redirects.

That would be a first for a Hacker, taking over and putting up adds that make the forum more money. lol

But i will say this forum is so slow and old. Definitely need to upgrade to xenforo.

Ha! nice :)

Anyway, those popups and spammy redirects I mentioned last year went away after the site admins fixed the SSL issue:

Yes, see above.

Hey, did you solve your problem? I think that it might be caused by some viruses, which is quite strange for an iPhone. However, I recommend installing antivirus software which will keep you away from all these problems. On this website, you will find the best antivirus software for mobile. Plus, you feel more secure by having such software. I have also installed one after I have noticed some technical problems with my phone, and it works perfectly. I hope that it is helpful.

^^ That's funny, advice on AV software from a spammer.
