What (if any) difference is there in clearance height between the stock and these?

I did not measure, but they have got to be REALLY close.

I got my set with the frame mount and I am unsure if I can install them myself. They look to be a little confusing. Does anyone know where I might be able to find rocker panel mounts for these? Or does anyone have any info on installing these on the frame? I have the directions but unsure about "torquing" the bolts. I just usually tightened until I couldn't tighten anymore, LOL.

The real question is....

.... do these stick out farther than the stock running boards or not as far.... or roughly the same distance?

I have wate/mud stains on the left pant leg, calf area, of about 4 pairs of work pants... seeing as I'm not 6'4" and easily forget to JUMP when getting in/out of the 4r!!!

That is precisely why I bought new ones. I am hoping the oval ones that are open in the back won't collect as much dirt and debris as the OEM ones. I have to brush off my pants every morning also. 6'1" here.

Is the frame pre-drilled? Will the Xreas lines be in the way? You will probably be ok installing yourself with your usual tightening method.....

I looked at the directions again and the only thing that seems to be in the way is the emergency brake line. There is one on each side. I just have to put spacers in. I have a set of the rocker panel mounts coming anyways, just in case I cannot install with the frame mounts. I will post pics when the snow goes away up here in NY. So that should be around May or June LOL.

I like them and have been considering them for a while now.

those are the bars I'm lookin for! they dont have them on parts4u anymore...are there any other sources out there?
