Found a good TRD PRO joke on Craigs....

Everyone spam his email with ridiculous offers. I just offered him $80k if he color matched the wheels to the truck.

My local dealer has a Voodoo Blue for $54K... and that's still outrageous.
$13K more than my '18 TRD ORP.

And the color is retina burning.. just hideous.

Bro, its soo much deeper than that, its all about the VIN... the Pro VIN :gossip: :D

I kid you not I have seen someone here post that when someone else brought up getting one painted. :biggrin1:

Thats what I said in my post. Buy another TRD PRO.... and paint it voodoo blue. Still has TRD PRO Vin .. just the color wont match to the vin

Maybe it has $27,000 in cash in the glove compartment. :wtf:

and if you want a pro, there is dealers out there that sell at MSRP. Dont fall for the ripoff.

As I am now going through a situation with my 4Runner, here are some thoughts: If you pay that kind of price and something happens to your vehicle (mine was stolen), the insurance company is going to give you book value for the car, they really don't care what you paid for it. You will also have to fight for every add-on.

If you have a winch and bumper that was 1,500 or 2,000 they want to give you the 250 that KBB lists, not the amount you paid.

Mine was recovered damaged, so I still have the add-on's, but before it was recovered, the insurance company was throwing up questions about what would and would not be paid at replacement cost.

Now don't get me wrong, my company has been really good so far, and I have already been re-embursed for my contents under homeowners(same company), and for rent a car to get home, trailer rental to get my vehicle to the shop I wanted, and the tow and storage bills when it was recovered, but they do question everything

It would suck to pay 72,000 for a 47,000 vehicle and have it totaled.

I have been looking for one of these and inquired about this one. They failed to tell me about any markup and just told me the MSRP. When I got there I quickly walked back out.

I'm wondering if you could buy any other TRD PRO and have it professionally painted for cheaper?

I know an excellent paint job is very expensive, but it can't be $20K expensive.

Just buy a Trail/Offroad and have it wrapped for $4000 and still be way ahead of the PRO price.
