Found a way to use the little cubby in the dashboard

That small cubby in the dash never seemed to be useful for anything but my garage door opener (which I don't use) so I found a way to make it a bit more relevant in my rig. I filled it full of clay to get the interior shape and then 3d modeled and printed this little gizmo to hold my radio mic and some USB cables. I'll probably print one in black eventually to match the dash. If you want to modify something for yourself, I have the 3d model HERE split into 3 parts so you can just grab the cubby insert if you want or modify the entire thing. Enjoy!

Upgraded to also hold a lightpod

I've made a new version to hold an 8 device light pod . The source files are still the same as above. The spod is a distinct piece that I just super glue to the main body so that it prints easy, but if you wanted to you could easily print them as one piece.

What a time to be alive...I mean, people have been modding cars for years, but with the increasing 3D printing tech it's just unlimited possibilities for extremely handy and cool stuff.

now you have to print a smaller one to go in the cubby space left open, and then a smaller one to go in that hole, and then a smaller one to go in that hole

I put my Leatherman multitool there -perfect firm placement.

For radio mic though I plan to print holder on 3d-printer and put it into "sauce" slot

Great idea. I just printed a filler for my new 2021 where the plug is for Android Auto that I rerouted for a dock for my phone instead. I may do something like this as well.

By chance did you disable the "download" option on Autodesk? Theres no way to get the STL from the link given as it just shows the rendering.
