Just get Maguires endurance tire spray. Spray the entire wheel and tire. Wipe down the wheel only,. Trust me, just try it and tell me I’m lyin :boxer:

Last time I hand-washed, I got tired of trying to prevent ArmorAll Matte tire foam from over spraying onto the rim, and just blasted the rim at the same time. Looked great for at least a month, and now that the wheels are dirty they seem no different than before I tried this method.
I like easy when it works just as well...

I’ve found the best method to use tire shine is to get the gel stuff and use one of those curved foam applicators. Do all four tires and then wipe it all off with a rag. You’ll get that rich deep black look without slinging all of that crap all over your freshly washed vehicle [emoji41]

I get your comment, I really do, as I haven't used an ArmorAll product for going on 30 years (remember back in the day when people used to use the crap on the interiors? Yuck!).
That being said, I tried the ArmorAll product because I hate shiny tires, and it was one of the few (only?) cans on O'Reilly's shelf that specifically stated a 'matte' surface result. It absolutely does NOT sling stuff around the way the dealer's initial detailing did, looked good and it lasted for a good while.
Since it's virtually impossible to apply any flavor of such a product to the tire without also getting it on the rim, and the product clearly hadn't discolored or otherwise affected the rim edge in any way after several applications, it occurred to me to just make it easy and try blasting the whole rim/tire combo, scrub it in, remove the excess and call it good. It worked as well as anything I'd tried previously, and looked as good/natural/clean as any TRD rim I've seen.
I get that you are dubious, but until you try it you can't suggest I'm crazy.

Ole Dr. Beasley is $30 on Amazon. Why do I feel like I'm paying for the "Dr." part?

I have been looking at this Dr. Beasley sealant since last December. Seemed pricey so I never pulled the trigger. Well I finally ordered it. In the meantime been using Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte. The CG stuff is good, but the Dr Beasley stuff blows it out of the water. Super pleased with my Trd Pro wheels they have never looked better.

I have matte wheels also, subscribed to see how the doctor checks out after some use.
For the wheel shine on the rim problem I cut a big 18 1/8 circle out of heavy cardboard with two finger holes in the middle. I hold it up to the rim and spray the tire. I am one of those people who like the super shiny grease look so I use a heavy detailer goopy concoction I made up. It keeps 90% of the spray off the rim. I would imagine this trick for the girly foam sprays would keep 100% of the spray off.
After I spray my goop on I use a chip brush (small paint brush) from Home Depot to spread it around and get into the tire side treads and then run that lip between the tire and rim.
ALL KINDS OF TIRE SHINE GAINS!

I just ordered some Dr. Beasley's. Hoping it will help me take off the Moab dirt/mud. I did 3 wheels where I just sprayed the whole tire and wheel with 303 Protectant. It looks good, but I know it won't last. I left one tire with all the dirt and mud so I can test how well the Dr. Beasleys works.
hey! yes I have the matte gray, they are a pain as well!!! I will be ordering this stuff tonight
