Is the direction of airflow up or down on 5th gen. ? I’m pretty sure it’s down the only thing that has me confused is stock filter has arrows facing up. Thanks

Are you suggesting that their cabin filters could cause some sort of catastrophic operational failure?
btw: I have the Fresh Breeze filter in mine. It's fine.

A Cabin Air Filters job is no where near as severe as an oil filter.
I've used the Fram Cabin Filter as well as OEM + a number of other brands. 6 of 1 - half a dozen of the other. I have experienced no better air flow with any particular brand. Pick a card.
If there's anything other than anecdotal evidence that Fram Cabin Filters are bad, please let us know.

Anything is better than having the dealer replace the OEM one for $75........
I remember back in the day when cars had no such filter. We all lived through it just fine. Just take the d@mn thing out and be done with it. For the amount of dust mine catches every 6 months you can blow it out with an air compressor and use the same one almost forever....... or at least until you get bored with your T4R's and trade them off for (insert next fad here)

Funny I read this as FARM fresh, like fresh dairy air, cows, manure. Like why would you want this as a scent. Then the word utter I thought was playing into it.

There's a guy on YouTube who compares a Fram Extra Guard filter (~$4) with a NAPA Gold filter (~$10). He cuts them open and he's "shocked" when the Fram filter materials are lower quality and labels his video "The Worst Oil Filter EVER!". It's not an apples-to-apples comparison. He has 2.1M views. I think he put up an unfair comparison just to make money.

If you want your air filter to smell good, just place a laundry fabric sheet; if it fits.

No I'm not suggesting that at all and in fact stated that in my first response. I'm only saying that a company that make such garbage products like their oil filter won't get any of my hard earned money.

The facts are the facts though. I think anyone would agree, even a free price point that Fram filter is garbage. Everyone who's in the auto field has known for years that the Fram's stuff I was bad, this guy just proved it.

So, what cabin filter would the anti fram guys use... Other then the yota?
I just replaced my cabin filter with an STP brand. I like it better than OEM because all 4 sides are better sealed. It works fine.
BTW, beware of the multi-layer cabin filters, like the ones with activated charcoal and/or baking soda. They do help to remove some odors but these filters will significantly reduce the airflow when compared to regular, OEM style filters.
