So its Finally time.
This Thursday i get to go pick up my new Frame from "The Toyota House" in dallas texas!
This guy was AWESOME! out of all the people i talked to he was the only one that kept me up to date! Just wish it had Lockers ;)
So im going to get it blasted and painted. Any thoughts or suggestions? Not on the process, ive got that down. Color wise. What should i remove?
I plan to do a Write up even though there already has been one!
If anyone would enjoy that. Not sure how to go about it. But i will be sure to take tons of Pictures.
My question. What do you guys suggest i do while its out? Before i install it?
I started a build thread if that helps.
Thanks

How in the world does a frame have lockers? Those would be in the axles, not the frame.

You definitely need to start another thread, if not three or four, on the same subject.

I'm looking for the Vihnyl still but I'm going to do a Full body wrap in Silver Army BDU Digital Camo. So I was thinking black body silver gray sway bars rims and axles

Thanks CSP. I just didn't want to fill my build thread with nonsense. I'll move it back there. New at this so apologies. Don't get into social Media one bit.

And yeah Wilson. Tracking! Frames going Black. Thanks guys.

XSPSI- I was thinking of powder coating mine. I have a buddy that's going to powder coat my bumpers. WhenEVERRRRRR they get here...... just not aware of the diferences between powder coat and conventional spray. Guess I'll have to ask him. The diferences to me is....I can get Anything sprayed conventional for free. Have to pay for the powder coating. Hence not going with the latter.

I just completed a frame swap mon.it took three days to complete .
the only advise I can give is sell trk buy one with a good frame.

I am definetely NOT looking forward to it. But its MY 4Runner. I wouldn't trade my wife out and get a new one just cause she got some jacked up toes......or would i. lol.
No i want to keep Her!
I have every tool in the arsenal you could imagine. Plus 2 car lifts.I think ill be okay!

Don't apologize. You just go off on tangents like we all know what you're talking about. Just explain yourself a little bit more.

Same thing with your "Tracking" thing. What is that?

CSP- Yeah I'm everywhere when I talk. ADD kicken in overdrive I guess. Tracking. It's army talk. Means do you follow or understand. Tracking!?
And this is also why this conversation is here and not on my Build thread. I wanted to have a Good build thread. Clear and on key. I'm still new to the forums so I'm learning. Teach me Master Yoda. Lol.

Lol u will use all of your tools, I'm good in tool dept my wife hates snap on
I had 3days to do it in we got it done all went well , biggest issue is rusted crap
On old frame if you are re useing lower control arms count on new cams and bushings a few will be seized up and need cut out,

I believe it Kenworth. But luckily my Donor frame is in great shape and has axles and suspension. Only thing I will do is swap my upgraded Front and rear shocks and springs from the old to the new. Thanks for the advice. Did you keep your motor mounts or get new ones? Luckily I have a spare vehicle I can drive around so I have more then a few days to do the transition. Plan on replacing brake and gas lines while I'm at it. Any other suggestions on replacement before the transition? Anything you wish you would have done? As for the undercarriage of the body. Kinda hard to blast and paint it...any suggestions there?

Thanks

I did this job for a friend he spent some time prepping his frame
Has a wright up on here some where .
No real advise if you are not switching rears then it won't be to hard of a job
Really just time had body lifted off in probably 5 hrs at most
Switching suspension rust ect was hardest part no new mount
The runner we did only has a 140000 miles on it so mounts ect seemed in good shape
