Tomorrow's the big install day for my new front 5100s. Before I commit to any of the adjustment points on the shocks, I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for my particular(ly odd) setup...

Right now, I'm running all stock springs with Daystar 1.5 inch spacers in the rear and 1 inch budget boost spacers in the front. I'm looking to eliminate the rake and level out the front so it is more-so even with the 1.5 inchers in the rear. I'm having a hard time finding users who were in the same situation, so I'm wondering how you more experienced guys would set them up? Which of the shock adjustments should I use with or without my existing 1 inch spacers to get a more level look?

if you're doing the 1.5 in the rear i would set the front 5100's to 2.5 without the spacer for level, .85 with the 1" spacer. the second option will end up with more rake, if you want it totally level id say do 2.5/1.5 and skip the spacer. you'll end up wanting more lift anyway :cheers:

Thanks! I was leaning towards just ditching the spacer and going to 2.5 on the 5100s, so it sounds like that's the route I'm definitely going to take.

Stock springs? I'd advise against combining the spacer with the 5100 front shocks. The 1.75" setting will put you slightly under where you are now, and 2.5" setting will be about 1/2" higher.

bilstien 5100 set at 2.5 setting will be a great ride with the stock spring >also i believe it will be a good match up with rear coil set-up

Started the install today, but something seems odd... Having a hard time getting the upper spring perch/upper bushing assembly bolted on to the shaft. The spacer within the included rod-protector/boot seems to take up a decent amount of space and doesn't give me enough room to get the nut on. I can only get everything fully assembled if I don't use the rod-protector. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
