Free 4th Gen Skids-San Mateo, CA

Finally got my RCI skids on, so time to get rid of the stock skids--front(engine), mid(trans) & gas tank skid. Pickup only of course.

Comes off of a 2003 V6 Sport.

Come and get it, or it goes out with the garbage next week!

I have a set of stock rear LCAs that I can let go for cheap also.

any idea if the 03-05 stock skid plates are any different from the 06-09 ones? looking for the front skid plate, just not sure if there was a change after the 4th gen face lift

Not sure. You might check to see if the aftermarket skid plate manufacturers make different skids for 03-05 v. 06-09. There may also be a difference in how the exhaust is routed for V6 v. V8.

I have also gotten some PMs on the condition of the skids. The answer is that they come off of a 10+ year old truck, so they are not perfect. But they are definitely functional and still fit the mounting points. There are a couple small to medium dents in them from--err road hazards--but nothing that effected mounting them or their purpose as skid plates.

Searching partznet makes me almost almost positive the front skid is standard across all years and engines for 4wd.

You're first in line on this, plus way closer.

It would be a long drive for me that wouldn't make purely economic sense so I'm on the fence leaning towards doing nothing, but road trips are fun.

I'd be great, though, if you'd keep the thread updated on what you decide.

If they are still available and in good condition then I would GLADLY take them off your hands! Where are you located? I'm actually flying in to CA next weekend to visit some friends in the San Jose, CA area. I will have a rental car though and could probably spare some time to meet up. I'd even offer to buy you lunch if you didn't want any money for them!
