Nice set-up OP. My vote would be for an aeropress with a collapsible kettle (tonnes of options on Amazon). I also like the idea of pre portioned vac seal. Could fit the whole setup in the back little pocket by the inverter and if you have the slide out tray voila!

Could just plug a Mr Coffee in to the outlet. But what fun is that? I like percolators. Yes they're finnicky and time consuming but I grew up watching my parents use one camping so now I must carry the torch.

That's a lot of amps for the inverter.

If you're going lux or really enjoy coffee as I do - their are some awesome smaller roasters making instant now as well. Ruby Coffee Roasters in WI is a prime example. When hunting its folgers and msr jet stove all the way

I spent way too much time trying to figure out how to get the best coffee while on the road. Here is what I settled on

1) only water kettle available that runs on the rear outlet (400 watt AC)

2) aeropress (flexibility to get great cups from a wide range of beans)

3) 1zpresso xj pro hand grinder (nothing comes close at 160USD, it is a weapon)

4) a scale to measure out a precise amount of beans, and count brewing time

5) an instant read thermometer to make sure water is at about 190F

6) single origin whole beans that were roasted in the last couple of weeks. Usually from HappyMug , when not from my local roaster.

Resulting brew is so smooth and sweet I need no sugar or cream.

I love coffee. I’m actually addicted to it. And I know drinking coffee it’s a bad habit and shit...buuut I found a way to make it healthier cause I started drinking natural coffee. For that reason I needed to buy a pot. Weird that even tho in this tiny world are so many coffee drinkers, finding a pot it’s like a job for a with or some magician. Anyways if some of you got the same problem go at FriedCoffee. They got nice pots. Of course at a reasonable price. I mean Starbucks, stop it. I’m not working as a stripper yet. I think you understood me. Have a nice day coffee zombies.

Here’s my set up: Japanese hand grinder with ceramic burs, insulated french press on my overpriced fanboi Rigd swing out table. Pre grinding and sealing your beans prior to camping never made sense to me as the beans deteriorate the moment you grind them, regardless of how well you store them.

I have the Jetboil French Press but when I don’t feel like making a mess I just use Altitude Coffee pour over kits. Really easy and almost zero clean up.

Same here: AeroPress, Jetboil and fresh ground coffee.

I camp in very cold temps often. Take one of those free koozies you have in your cooler and cut the bottom off. It fits perfect on the Aeropress to help hold in the heat while coffee seeps. IF you have one of the older neoprene ones they clean up easily when dirty!

Good fresh coffee is very important to lots of us. At home and on the road or trail.
My favorite is the Aeropress. From the inventor of the Aerobie flying disc.

I took this one on an 11 day drop camp elk hunt, it was awesome and made excellent coffee. Lightweight as well.

The older I get, the less effort I want to put into fancy eating and the gear one has to carry to fix it. For me a decent cup of coffee in the boonies entails boiling some water and dropping in instant Starbucks, which comes in different strengths to suit your taste.

Old fashioned: I have an old Coleman single burner stove with an old stainless steel percolator (without guts!). Fill the night before=first person up lights it on the way to the outhouse. Use Folger's Instant (unless I can find the Maxwell House coffee bags) since some people may want tea or hot chocolate. Besides, I want coffee, not foo foo stuff in the A.M.!
