Hello everyone! I've been lurking around the forum since October when I got my Mag Grey TE and I thought I should finally register and say hi. I changed the tires about a month after purchase, 275/70 R17 BFG A/T, and installed a TRD CAI yesterday. Suspension is on order, should all be here in a week or two with an install a week or so after when I have time. I love the 4Runner and look forward to further mods and adventuring. Theres a lot of great info on the forum that has been very helpful in my mods list and many of the little questions I've had. Keep up the good work!

Yes of course, pictures. I should know this by now. As I said, its stock except for the tires and the intake. More pics with more mods.

Do those tires rub with stock height at all? How is the ride now? Noise? How much was the TRD Air CAI....? Looks great.

And welcome to the forum!

Thanks everyone! The tires haven't rubbed at all. I've seen one other person with them on the forum and if I remember correctly they hadn't experienced any either. The ride is noticeably different from stock. They're rated up to 80 psi but I've been running them at 50. They have a E rating, which makes them firm, but not too bad in my opinion. I did a 1400 or so mile round trip drive to Park City, UT a couple of days after having them put on and they were fine. You can hear them while under way but not so much that they're overbearing, at least not to me. Basically no conversational issues while driving.

The CAI was purchased through a friend who works for a dealership, so I basically got it for his price. Just over $400 said and done. I didn't feel the need to do a write up or pics because there's already at least one great right up, which I actually referred to thoroughly before installing. Which took about an hour and a half, probably less if I did it again. There seems to be a deeper sound while accelerating, which is nice, but if there is a stronger pull I'm not feeling it too much. But then again I have a fairly light foot unless the situation dictates differently. As far as MPG's, there doesn't seem to be much of a change. But I'm doing a little trip this weekend so we'll see if/how it affects consumption with a solid 5 or 6 hours on the freeway. None-the-less I think it's awesome. I plan on adding cat-back exhaust and possibly some DT short tube headers to compliment it. But this would be after the lift is installed and I can save up some money for it all.

Thanks again everyone. I look forward to reading and contributing more. Keep up the good work.

I saw that thread and really want to but I have a service appointment and a bunch a crap to do before Sunday. Definitely interested in the next one though. Need to get the runner off pavement more. Ill be on the lookout for the next meet up.
