Fretting over 3M VHB tape? It holds the windows/panels in/on at Burj Dubai

I see a lot of people questioning double-sided tape.
As long as the surface prep is impeccable...
What they actually give on products is unknown as VHB backing is red, but I never see the 3M branding on the red backing on anything automotive related.

I had the TWO bolts for a license plate snap on an older Yota I have.

I used VHB and some alcohol to thrice clean the car and once on the plate.
When I went to extract the remaining stud, the plate was NOT coming off.
I did not want to take paint off with it.

Years later, plate is still on there with VHB alone.
