From Xterra to 4Runner in GA.

Hello all,

I just bought my first 4Runner and my first Toyota. I went from a 2011 Xterra Pro 4X (Bilsteins, Dana 44 derivative, skids rear locker, etc) to a 2004 4Runner Limited.

It may seem strange to some to go backwards from a nearly new vehicle to an eight year old one, but as I owned the Xterra outright, I was able to get a very capable truck and pocket 10K to sue for mods. First one, though will be a new radio. I've only had it for about 14 hours and already I'm missing my Sat radio. As soon as I got home I ordered:

Metra ASWC Auto Sensing Steering Wheel Cntrl Interface

Pioneer CD-MC20 AutoEQ microphone for AV receivers

Pioneer CD-IU51V Multimedia USB iPod Cable

Pioneer AVH-P2400BT DVD Receiver

Pioneer GEX-P920XM XM Satellite Radio

PAC TATO Toyota JBL Interface

I'm not a car audio guy by any means, but this setup looked like it would do what I wanted. Anyone have any experience with this head unit? Did I make any mistakes?

Anyway, I look forward to hanging around here and hope to learn much about my new rig. Maybe I can even contribute once in awhile!

the set up looks ok..though if you pony up $398 u could get the latest pioneer avh 4400 bt dvd hu...it has almost perfect reviews on amazon..will be installing it this wkend..when my 05 runner arrives...hopoefully
