Are some front lights supposed to be on when the parking lights are on ?
Back lights come on ok when clicking to the parking light position on the headlight switch.
I just noticed tonight that, with the ignition key at one click clockwise, and motor off, clicking to the first click on the headlight switch turns on the tail lights but not the front amber lights. That used to be called the 'parking lights' position.
The daytime running light feature works fine and both left and right front amber turn signals work fine in both turn and emergency flash modes.
I never recall wanting to use the parking lights feature in the past. But still curious if there is there a way to get them, the front ambers, to go on (with motor off) ?
Tomorrow I'll try turning the headlights on then clicking back a notch and try some combinations with the emergency brake on and off. Seems I remember the emergency brake being on would allow some stealth light function but it probably wont let the front ambers turn on.
Perhaps there's different front lights for parking lights and they are burned out ? If so, I could not find them on the electrical diagrams.
I know the various year / models may work differently and have different lights up front. Mine's a 2005 LE w/DRL's and auto headlight off on capability. It's been a long day, probably going to be embarrassed by the answer.
