Front ARB and Fog Lights?

Basically I am looking for ideas of what to do with my factory foglights/foglight circuit and switch when I install my ARB front bumper on my 2000 4R sport.

Has anyone tried to modify the circuit for driving lights or spot/flood lights using the existing switch on the turn signal lever? Or maybe an attractive and functional way to mount fogs to the ARB (doesn't seem so, without messing up the approach angle and busting them off). I am not to keen on the idea of drilling any holes in the bumper to mount fogs internally.

How many watts are the fogs, and how many amps do they pull?

Don't even bother with the factory fogs. They hardly do anything. Mount up some spot lights. I guess it would be cool to hook it up to the switch on the lever. I think the stock fogs are 55w?

I like how Shrockworks has their lights set up in the bumper.

I've thinking of ways to use the factory fogs lights or the switch. The only thing i really could come up with was to make a metal box and weld it to the bottom of the bumper. I haven't done it because i thought it would look like crap. For the cleaner look i thought about drilling but didn't want to mess up the bumper. Anyone have the fog lights wire labels?

All the folks on this site with custom front bumpers, and no one want's to share what they did with their fog lights...?

I hate to let the factory switch on the steering column go to waste...

Wondering if you have found out yet how to or if anyone else has done it. I want to wire my piaa's up to the factory switch on the column.

There's digging up an old thread...seems like that bumper swap was a lifetime ago. Well, here's how it turned out.

I wired my auxilarly lights to the old fog light circuit and it works fine. It is nice to be able to use the factory switch for something... here are some of the specifics of my situation:

--The auxilarly lights were a Craigslist special...I have no idea the mfg, model or wattage, but haven't blown the fog light fuse yet.

--The wires for the fog light were not identified in the typical red and black. I did the ol' trial and error to see which wires connected. When the lights came on, I guess those were the right ones!

That was about it. Worked fine.
