Front coils

I bought the 3" toytech lift, spacers up front, coils in the back (don't remember the number part). I'm not too happy with the performance and I've driven about 2,000 miles on them. My question is what is a good coil up front that would give me a 3" lift without the need of the spacer? Also, would would be some good replacement shocks? I'm not looking to upgrade to performance shocks, just to replace the old ones.

Your choices are limited if you don't have extra weight in the front from a bumper/winch or skid plates and sliders. Most kits for 4runners with stock front end weight have spacers to get 2.5-3" of lift. OME 882s and 883s will lift it 3", but will ride harsh without the added weight. If you get adjustable Bilsteins, you could go with TRD Progressive coils and get 2.5" out of that (see the system 1.2 and 7.2 lift on sonoransteel.com).

I think you should be able to use adjustable Billies with 881s to get 2.5-3" also, but I'm not 100% sure what height it would finally sit at. Either way, adjustable shocks are probably your best bet.
