Front CV replacement

Just replaced front CV (left) and if I grab it, it will move (shimmy) about 1/16 of an inch in and out of the transfer case. I checked the passenger side and does the same thing.
Not sure if passenger side is bad as well and the driver side was not installed correctly or is this normal.
I have been chasing an annoying rattle when going over bumps.

That seems pretty normal for CVs.

I think you should look elsewhere for a rattle over a bump. Start with your roof rack if you have one. They loosen up and cause vibes and rattles when going over bumps. Also you swaybar endlinks when they wear out can cause noises over bumps.
