front diff fill plug wont budge . . .

If its the same thing that I had problems with you might be able to use a zip tie. My dust cover broke where it was supposed to be held at and I zip tied it. It moves a bit but its better than not having it at all.

Thanks Larry. that makes sense. so im guessing i can assume that if its still leaking its GOT TO BE the OIL SEAL. i for some reason thought the dust shield may have butted up and kept small amount of pressure on oil seal. guess im an idiot. i shall replace oil seal and get a piece of PVC pipe that fits it perfect so i can drive it onto the CV axle without bending. (thats why i originally had to change the dust cap. i accidentally bent it while tapping in the cv into the diff housing.)

OP, the same thing happened to me. I tried my Dad's pneumatic drill and still wouldn't budge. I ended up having the shop do the front diff because i wanted someone else accountable for any damage getting the thing out. They got it out without damage - they have their ways :)

am i correct to say that the oil seal is the only reason why it would be leaking if i am sure everything is done correctly?

PB BLASTER and about THREE straight minutes of holding the trigger on the impact shes free.

yessssss. thanks guys.

also, the socket was so hot it burned my hand when i went to pull it off the impact about 5 minutes later.
