front diff oil seal removal/replacement after work today. anything to be aware of?

changing the drive axle oil seal (passenger side) after work today. . . anything i should bring my attention to during the process? as far as removal do i need to use anything special or can i just pry it out?

I don't have any thoughts on this. Just pull cv half shaft out, use large screw driver and pry off old seal. Take a small hammer and tap on the new seal. Re-install half shaft.

Refill with your favorite gear oil (mine is Lucas).

You should time yourself and see how long it takes. It should take any longer then an hour to do.

well since ive done it about 4 times in a row now. . . im pretty good at it. air rachet is my best friend. even though its really not used a whole lot.

i think yesterday when i did it (i realized toyota gave me the wrong oil seal) i had everything apart and back together in about 25 minutes.
