front dome lightand rear window defroster

I'm working on my daughters 91 4runner 3.0 v6 5 spd that I just bought a few months ago.

1. How do you get the light covers off the dome lights on the rear view mirror, I need to replace the bulb?

2. The rear defroster button lights up but the window does not defrost, could the relay be bad, if so where is it?

3. The anti brake light stay on all the time, do I need to bleed the unit on the rear axel, or what?

4. The back seat door windows only go down half way, is that normal?

5. The rear big window goes down ok but, goes up very slowly. Do I need new motor?

1. How do you get the light covers off the dome lights on the rear view mirror, I need to replace the bulb? Carefully pry the whole cover off by sliding a flat screw driver between the cover and the headliner.

2. The rear defroster button lights up but the window does not defrost, could the relay be bad, if so where is it? There are some fuses behind the driver's side kick panel. You may actually have some broken conductive strips 'on' the rear window, itself. It is reparale with some fix-it from the auto parts store.

3. The anti brake light stay on all the time, do I need to bleed the unit on the rear axel, or what? Check here for more info:

4. The back seat door windows only go down half way, is that normal? Yes. They are not made to retract all the way.

5. The rear big window goes down ok but, goes up very slowly. Do I need new motor? You may need to lubricate the guides and the mechanism. You can get to the works by popping off the inner panel of the rear gate. Just slide your fingers beneath the edge and you'll feel the 'give' as you slide along and pull.
