Front Fender

Anyone have recommendation for a front fender. Sent a few emails to some forum vendors. Is there any difference between a $50 aftermarket fender and a $250 factory fender. Do the factory ones come painted for that price? If not any ideas what I should expect to pay for a fender to get painted? No local salvage yards to check locally that I am aware of. Hit some ice and spun into a sign post: dammit:

Thanks in advance for any information.

Aftermarket fenders aren't bad, sometimes you have minor panel gap issues or bolt holes that aren't quite perfect. I have them on my runner and its a non issue. I'd expect around 75-100 to have just the fender and flare sprayed.

Do you have any trusted body shops that you've worked with before? If so they can usually steer you in the right direction regarding your options and price.

Where in NE Georgia are you located? I can give you the info of the body shop guy I have been using since about 2000 if you need a resource. It's a guy I used to work with at Nalley Acura, when I was in high school/undergrad/grad, & he opened up his own place around 2006. Very straight up guy & no BS. Does great work & very consistent. His place is located in Marietta GA about a mile south of Dobbins Air Force Base so not sure how far that is for you.

Thanks

I have a Clarkesville address but am closer to the Tallulah Falls area about 20 minutes South of Clayton. I am newer to the area so not real sure what's around for body shops. Marietta is about an hour and a half so I will be looking closer. I'm just getting an idea of what route I want to take whether aftermarket, factory or just letting insurance fix it.

Thanks both of you for the information

Hey I know this isn't exactly answering your question but FYI if you go to car-part.com and do some searching, there's a high likelihood that you might even find a part from a truck that's already painted. You *may* notice a slight color mismatch, but it'll be factory paint on factory metal vs. a Taiwanese pot metal knockoff.

Or LKQ might have something in their network they can ship either to you or to your local LKQ that you can pick up. Just be careful b/c sometimes the finish will get damaged in transit.

No go on LKQ

Not much luck finding a factory replacement. Can someone confirm that a fender from a 1998 would also fit on a 2000 -2002 model. If I'm not mistaken they are all the same from 1996-2002. However, can some confirm this for me.
Thanks

Yep, just make sure it has the wide flares like yours.

Get OEM if possible. Even if an Aftermarket one fits fine, it will most likely start rusting from the inside faster than OEM.
