Front Grille Clips on 2nd Gens

Hello all, First post here:

I was wondering if anybody knows or can atleast point me in the direction of how to remove the front grille of my 1990 4Runner. I was trying to change out my headlights but the bottom clips arent budging. Is there any way to make things pop out or even budge.

You got to pinch the clip together to release it from the body.

Wouldn't grill removal be the same as on a 3rd gen 4Runner or 1st gen Tacoma? If so look at this. Grill removal begins at 2:17:

I broke lots of clips on mine and I seldom break anything. I have a pack of new clips coming from eBay but the boat must be slow. They were about $5 shipped. Meantime it's held in place by the hood and electrical ties. It doesn't look like anything's amiss.
