FRONT LIFT: Toytec Eibach Coils vs Tundra TRD

I ordered the Tundra 5100s last week, and had them arrive on Monday and then drove over to Toytec and picked up the Eibach coils. Got done installing it all today. Rides WAY nicer than before (though I had a front spacer lift and just OME 891s in the back, stock shocks). I am on the lowest settings of the shocks, and sit about level to a 0.5" rake. I like it a lot!

Hey snivilous, which tundra perch are your T/E's on for your front? I'm about to install the same setup on my rig and would like the .5in rake. I was thinking of putting the fronts on the second perch but wanted to see where you were.

Anyways, I ran mine on the lowest perch and that seemed to net me 3" of lift. I'm no longer running that lift setup though.

Bringin back an old thread, anyone know how much lift you'd get with eibach coils up front with a tundra strut? Im trying to choose a coil for the rear that will give me about a half inch of rake and wont make my 265/75s look ridiculous.

trying to bring some traction to this thread. I'm currently looking to lift my runner about 3 inches. I'm leaning towards the toytec/eibach springs with billy shocks front and rear. My question is if/when I do the lift will I have to extend brake lines/ panhard bar? I've searched a few threads but some people say they have and some people haven't mentioned anything about it. Also what size tires will I be able to fit? I would really like to fit some new cooper stt maxx pro, but they only come in 33x12.50x15, or 32x11.50x15. TIA

You won't have to extend the front brake lines, and many guys don't extend the rear. However, it would be a good idea to extend the rear brake line if you're going 3 or more inches over stock.
You will want to get either an adjustable panhard, one of [MENTION=28464]eimkeith[/MENTION] brackets, or both. The best way to correct the panhard geometry is with lift and drop brackets- lift first, and drop if you need more correction. Making your panhard parallel to the ground keeps your axle centered best in your commonly-used travel. Using an adjustable bar centers your axle at rest, but will move side-to-side over bumps, as well as put side-load on your rear links when you have a load in/on your rig.
You should be able to fit 285/75R16 tires- depending on what width and offset wheels you are running. I'm sure Cooper makes the STT MAXX PRO in more than 2 sizes, so are those the only sizes they make for a 15" wheel? And that's what size wheel you will be running?

Sorry I just joined this forum and I'm still getting used to the format and how it works. Anyways, that brings me to another dilemma. My 4Runner currently has 16 inch rims on now (I just bought it) I would like to put some black steelies in 15's. I've been reading up on it and some people said that 15's will fit and some say that 15's won't fit. The sticker inside the door says 15's, so does that mean 15's came on my 4runner stock, hence 15's will fit? tire and wheel prices are cheaper in 15 inch and I personally have an inch more of rubber than steel. Oh and cooper stt maxx pro's only come in 31x10.5, 32x11.5, 33x12.5, and 35x12.5 in 15". Also can you send me a link to the panhard bar situation, i'm still a little unclear on how I should approach this problem. awesome, Thanks spooky. I think I'm going to go with 891's out back. Can't wait to get my lift. I'm trying to be smart about it and rebuild my front end first (oem ball joints, moog tie rod ends, energy suspension bushings) so I can have a solid foundation to build on and have less headaches later.

Just did the same thing. I redid tierods and bjs and steering rack bushings. Oem is pricey I used sankei 555 bjs they are a manufacturer for toyota suspensions and steering systems. I got my bjs at napa with online discounts they were 38$ a piece for uppers. Quality is incredible and made in Japan Didn't need lowers. Mevotech makes a good outer tierod. Stay away from moog

You can check the front brake calipers. If the stamp on the calipers says S13WM, then you can't fit 15" rims. the stamp i think is located on the inboard side of the calipers
