Front lower control arm adjustment?

Does anyone know what the dial is for on the front lower control arm. It resembles a dial that looks similar to a spark plug gap adjuster. When would these be adjusted and why? Mine were adjusted and I am trying to figure out if it was due to the alignment or 5100/fj coils installed.

Those are alignment cams. They were adjusted when your front end was aligned most likely.
