Front lower valence removal

I have seen a few members do this and wanted some more info. Wanted to know if it could be removed with care and reinstalled later if desired or if it is a hack job? How would one protect the radiator and other components once removed?

It's a bit tricky to take it off while the whole bumper is still on the truck. There are 6 or 8 10mm nuts that hold it on. Crawl up under there and take a look, it should be pretty obvious.

It provides little to know protection but it does hide some ugly. Your frame ends will be uncovered when you remove the lower valance which is not a problem if you think it looks alright like that.

What they said, although if it has never been removed and you don't live in a desert, I bet removing it without taking the bumper off first will be very difficult. I had to sacrifice a number of bolts when I did mine. The good news is pulling the bumper is easy, once you figure out which are the right bolts.

Since you're from Phoenix, you may find it doable.
