Front Mud Flap Part #

LINY4Runner said:
does anyone know where us guys who never had fender flairs and have removed the running boards can get some nice looking mud flaps?

If you mean the stock mud flaps that came on 4runners that did not have flares or running boards here they are. I have them on my car and they are really nice just a bit pricey.

thats exactly what I was looking for, but looking at your door panel, they don't look like they're very functional :D

I want those too. And they are about $70 for the set.. It's been a month since I took the running boards off. I'm thinking that I might just cave and get those...:(

They actually work really good. You have to remember I don't have any flares and am running 265/75's with a 2.5" lift. This was also in the middle of last winter. Unless you want a really long flap hanging down or sticking out this is as good as it's going to get IMO. These protect really nicely from rocks too. I'll take a couple shots and put them up from different angles.

EDIT: These picks were taken right after installation. The road spray on the car is from the old flaps and the area cleaned was done by me prior to installation. This does not show how well these protect the car from road spray.

"how recently did you get those flaps from trdparts4u?

All the other information seems to suggest they are no longer available.

Hopefully they've got some - this would be great news, as I've still got my running boards on and have already ordered the incorrect flaps from trdsparks and just sent them back last week!"

I ordered them within the last couple of months. When they look up the part number it will not show what they go on, but they were the right ones when they showed up........

I found these picks. There is one more bolt to put on in the picks, just to clear it up right off the bat.

The road spray that is on the car is actually from the old flaps. These picks show just where I cleaned before installation, not where the flaps will keep spray from going.

Well I bought the set kweetech had. They are the same part #'s as az4runner02's post says and they fit perfect.

Finally feel better about yankin them boards off.

You will be glad you did, it looks so much better. I ended up chucking my running boards into the trash bin. I couldn't give em away here in Phoenix and I only have a 1 car garage. So I had to put them down. :cannon:

Oh.. I actually took my running boards off a while ago. I've just been agonizing about what kind of mud flap to get. We don't have a lot to pick from out here so I just dropped $77 on OEM ones. It hurts so bad.. But so does the rocks flying up hitting my door panels. :p

The set I got were still in the OEM packaging and had all screws and hardware. I wish I would have thought about sprayin a little penetrating oil on the bolts that go up into the bottom of the fender, cause I broke both off puttin on my mudgaurds.

Hint hint ;):

Thanks for all the info in this thread. I just ordered my front mud guards, do they install with the pre existing screws?

Ahhhhhh, where did you order the mudflaps? I need a set for my '99 4Runner! The trdparts4u.com is out (unless i'm blind.) I just can't find any. can you provide the exact link?

See, I am having the OPPOSITE problem. I put running boards on that came off a 4Runner with flares and my 4Runner doesn't have flares...so I need either different endcaps or something to make it seamless...any ideas?

OK, I have the black plastic flares on my 2000 SR5 and when I pulled my running boards off, I ended up finding the correct part numbers for the front mud guards....

I had to order the wrong pair before I got the right pair and they did exchange them for free, I just had to pay to ship em back.

OK so I know this post is 10 years old but I am currently looking for these very same mud flaps for the SR5 that connect to these Fender flares. I am Having a really hard time finding anything online and everything At every Toyota dealership has been discontinued. I know that no one gets notifications in emails also when someone comments or replies in these forums but Sure am hopeful to find some really soon. If anyone has any idea where I can get these, please let me know. Thanks
