I do have the black flares, so those are exactly what I am looking for.

I actually just found out that I have some friends heading from Spokane to MT next weekend, so I am going to give Spaldings a call and see if they have any junked Runners with them on.

Just in case they don't, if you know of any..let me know! Thanks
 
my local toyota dealer quoted me 33.90 on a mechanic price from my shop, he dose not know if they are discontinued, he would have to order them to find out, but i dont know if i want them since my dad wants the running boards back on.... i guess i sit on it and wait....
 
THE FLARES IN THE LINK PROVIDED ARE NOT THE ONES THAT FIT THE BLACK PLASTIC FENDER FLARES.

HERE is a link for the mudflaps for a '98 4runner. I think the website is run by Toyota of Dallas. I have purchased a few things (including the mudflaps) from them and was very satisfied with their service. I don't know for sure if they are discontinued or not, but it is worth a shot.

I just ordered mine off of your link. I emailed them before I processed the order and they claim to have them in stock. Looking forward to getting them on the truck so I can sell off the running boards.
 
The ones in that link may be called a mudguard but for sure DO NOT look like thay would be for the oem black sport flares.

Ok, 2 responses since I posted, 1 stating that it may not be the right one and then your picture of what appears to be the right ones. I have a 2000 with the black plastic flares, and I notice yours is a 96? Are they the same? Any help is appreciated.....

The ones in the pic that Mr. Dabadina shows will indeed be the ones you want, they will fit 1996-2002. The issue is that the ones shown as #16 in the link above and here dont look like the ones on mine or Mr. Dabadina's vehicle. They even specify that they are for the Base and SR5 not the 99-00 Highlander or 96-98 Sport Package.
 
Ok, so do you think they don't the same because of the illustration? They don't look exact, but it is a drawing. I asked a few different folks and even contacted them directly and they claim these are the ones I need. Not sure if I specified before but I have a 2000 4runner SR5 4x4 with black plastic fender flares, exactly like the pics above. Anyone else who wants to chime in, feel free. I have ordered them and I don't want them to ship me the wrong ones.

I'm pretty sure the SR5 and highlander flares are the same. The link I provided is the same one that is on my 4runner. AZ4runner02, I wouldn't worry, this is the exact same place and ones that I ordered, and the pic above is how they turned out. They will fit your '00 just like mine shows in the above picture.

I cancelled the order, after looking at it again I agree, they are not correct. Thanks for the help, I'll poke around the site here and find somewhere that had the correct ones.

The two links provided come up to different pages. Mr. Dabadina posted the correct link that you want I think. That specific black flare was used at least from 1996-2000, so the 1st link should get you the flaps you want.

J.A's link is to mudflaps for 4Runner's that did not come with running boards and/or fender flares

Here's crolision's (from YT) with the non-running board flaps on in the front:

The two links are the same. Using Dabadina's link I clicked on see illustration and item #16 was highlighted in Red. That pic is clearly the flaps that are on crolision's rig. But hey, If Dabadina used that link and got the discontinued sport flaps rather than the #16 non-flare flaps, then go for it, its worth a try and you can always send them back. Good Luck as the flaps you are looking for are needed if you remove the rb's.
 
I've got pair of front mudflaps that I'll never use, I got them from the guy I sold my running boards too, he had a base model. I thought they would fit on my limited but ended up they don't.

$20 plus shipping from san diego if anyone wants them.
 
Hey Mr. Dabadina, I got the mup flaps/splash guards and they were the wrong ones. I noticed your other postings on yotatech and you list the part numbers below......Are you sure these are for the ones you show on your picture?

Nquaint, does your mud flaps fit on stainless flares or plastic flares?
If they fit on stainless flares, they are sold!!
