Front Mud Flaps

I'm taking off the running boards this weekend and really need to get front mud flaps. Anyone got any ideas from experience? I went down to checker and they have some very generic ones. Just don't want a generic looking 4runner :p

You have the chrome piece around your fenders?

I think Toyota made some front mud flaps that would fit 4runners, but I don't think they make them anymore.

should be able to scare some up

Very few guys on here run their front mudflaps so one of us likely has a pair that would fit you.

I just removed mine as they are rubbing-and I have the SR5 chrome trim around the wheel wells also.

Depending on the tire size you run-the 'generic' fitments may be your best choice-the factory flaps extend out just enough at the pinch weld point to be rubbed by my 265/75/16s.

J.A. I believe adapted some Advance Auto flaps for our 3rd gens.

I run a 265/70 but I think I'm going to end up getting some generic flaps and see how they look. With all the road salts they use over here I'm going to have to get something. Thanks for your help.

Do some searching and you might be able to find a set of the skinny plastic black flares that came on the first few years of 3rd gens and get the OEM flpas which are one of the better options.

Do,they work? So-so :p

Another option is to get some clearbra type sheets and apply on the rocker panels. Or I wonder if Tacoma flaps would work? Here is a picture of my flaps. They're pretty long, and I might chop them down a bit.
