Front Passenger Seat Comfort... aint there

I too actually find the seats in the 4Runner, as really comfortable.

Now it seems as if the 4Runner seats are the worst of any rig I've ever owned....

Most comfy when driving with loafers on my feet and no jacket.

Gets a little bit uncomfortable when I wear a jacket.

Even more uncomfortable when wearing jacket and stiff boots.

Then I go off road and even more uncomfortable.

Of course all of the above scenarios require that I move the seat position - so ?

I hate my seat as well. I have a 2016 SR5. I have the lumbar support option. It would interesting to get people to state their comfort level and if they have the lumbar option or not. IF that hardly padded bar going across the bottom of the back seat is only there to mount the lumbar motor, then there is no reason for it to be there if there is no lumbar option, but maybe toyota is lazy and doesnt remove it if they dont have to? I have looked at other vehicles and none of them have a bar going across the lower back section like the T4R. No wonder its uncomfortable.

Toyota 4 runner passenger Seat uncofortable

I just completed a long Road Trip with my wife and she complained about the uncomfortable passenger seat. It only moves forward back and tilt. Unlike the Drivers seat with lumbar control, height, tilt, forward back settings. I find adjusting these on a long trip make a big difference. I went online looking for a right hand drive front seat I could buy to match the driver seat but have been unable to locate anything online. Anyone made that change? Where can I find the right hand drive seat?

I just took a short trip down Colorado Springs from Denver. After several hours of being off road my GF took over driving. It was the first time I had sat in the passenger seat and I do have to agree that it was far more uncomfortable than the driver seat.

I was actually thinking this last week after a long drive, thought it was just in my head. I kind of find the seat narrow feeling on a longer drive. I find maxing out the lumbar support helped

No problems here. Drove 15 hours with wife.

Ergonomics is key...try a few dif options of adjusting seat angles. Also... if you dont move a little in your seat every 15 to get the blood flowing...this wil reduce your tolerance and longevity seated.

I came from a Jeep Rubicon so 8 way power adjustable heated leather seats just don't seem too uncomfortable to me. They seem as comfortable as the wife's Highlander, my Chevrolet Duramax, or the Sequoia that my wife had.

My wife hates the passenger seat. She is dreading roadtrips. She has no issues with the driver seat. I sat in the passenger seat and agree with her. It's bad. Hope it breaks in. We only have about 1000 miles on the truck.

A 2011 with leather seats vs. my 2013 with cloth seats feels quite different, something other than the coverings. Not sure of the reasons. Comfort of the cloth seat is much better.
