I have two sets of 4x4 spindles... I am going to rebuilding set with total chaos spindle gusset, new wheel bearings and new backing plates / splash guards along with doing a tundra brake upgrade here soon.
Question is, on the 2nd set (spare set) I’ve contemplated not putting the backing plates back on them when I freshen them up as well. Why, because they will store a lot easier and not take up as much room when I take them with me on outings. Also, I don’t think they are really need persay either.
Anyone not running backing plates / splash shields pros and cons? Opinions wanted
