front spring help

After I installed my CBI bumper and winch on my 4runner I noticed that I have a little more rake. I was wondering if I need to upgrade my front springs to something a little more heavy duty to solve the rake issue. I went 4wheeling this weekend and already scraped the bottom of my bumper.

I was browsing on toytec. I am looking at the OME 883's or the toytec/eibach springs. I have the bilstien 5100's upfront.

I also saw on wheelersoffroad they have ploy spacers. Not sure if that is a good option or not.

Any insight on what front spring combo you have would be helpful to better level out my 4runner.

Good to see another member from colorado springs. I dont know much about the cbi bumper or how much it weighs, but i have the toytec/eibach coils upfront with tundra 5100's and from what I have read the combo can be adjusted right to handle a heavy load upfront.

Me and a few buddies hit up china wall yesterday. There was still lots to explore there. The cbi bumper isn't to bad but my winch is heavy. What notch do you have the struts on?

If you have 5100s just bring the bottom of the springs up one notch.

You could find something to scrape the bottom of the bumper on regardless of how tall it sits.

I think this might only make a 1/4 of an inch difference.

Which 5100s do you have? Tacoma or Tundra? I believe either one, especially the Tacoma, will raise the lift more than 1/4" from notch to notch.

The notch might only come up 1/4" of an inch, but you're also compressing the spring more at resting height which is going to mean more resistance to compress at resting height.

The height you get from notch to notch is not linear or equal to the distance from notch to notch.

Regardless of which you have tundra or tacoma, if you have an extra perch go ahead and move it up a notch but I dont recommend topping them out.

I'm pretty sure they are sitting on the second perch at the moment.

TRD Tundra springs should do the trick. They're progressive rate and are designed to hold the tundra V8 up front. Should support the weight of your front setup
