haven't gotten to my suspension yet, waiting on a part
haven't done one on a 4 runner yet
but was wondering how often the upper front strut mount gets replaced. rarely see it in write-ups. I know on the 4 runner they are different then other front struts on other cars ( that don't have a front upper a arm and strut is the "upper a arm"), as jn those the strut and spring spin in them and there is a bearing ( bmw, Volvo , Toyota cars, etc)
4 runners don't spin in the upper mount thus no bearing
Is this an item that people replace and should I think of replacing it when I do my struts and springs next week ?
Arent they just a top hat to hold the spring, or is there rubber isolators or ? that wear out
If so, are KYB, or Gabriel or..... ok ?
