Front Sunvisor Mod

Most new vehicles have the ability to extend the sunvisors out when you move them to the side. Our runners do not. Anyone done a mod on this?

I was wondering the same thing, my '04 Tacoma had some sun visors that look almost identical to ours and had the slide out extension things. Hopefully someone on here has done this and can show us the ropes! I may hit up yota yard to see if they have some from a taco and how much.

The Sunvisor is 2 screws to take off, as long as the mounting on the Taco one is the same than it is a 1 minute swap.

One thing you have to check with visors are the angle of the little metal piece that hinges.I got some cool visors from a Lexus RX and they had the sun shade extensions( which is why I wanted them ).They bolted right up on my Runner but when I swung them out to the side the angle of the pivot was all wrong and ended up pointing at the roof.I could not get them apart to try and change the hinge so ended up not using them.

just upgrade to Limited visors

my friend's 01 Limited had those slide out pieces you refer to. Also a lighted mirror on the drivers side.

Find a junkyard and get the Limited sun visors. personally I would not wire up the power but to each his own...
