Front suspension help

So I was just wondering can I add a 1" spacer above my Icon coil over set up to get a little extra height? I'm really trying to not use the Toltec BL if I don't have to.

Is it safe to add the spacer above coil overs? or would that make the control arm angles so bad that I wouldn't be able to align it correctly? Would it cause undue stress on the ball joints? I do have the Icon tubular UCA's too.

any thoughts would be helpful guys, thank you in advance.

adding a top hat spacer makes the down travel longer and can have cv axle problems if it is to much. what are your shocks set at right now?

I haven't actually installed them yet. I am in Iraq for another couple of weeks. I was just curious.....and my 4runner is 2WD so no front CV joints or angle to worry about.

I was just thinking about doing the daystar rear spacer on top of the Icon 2" lift springs and a top hat spacer in the front. Just to give it an extra 1" or so.

ill probably have them maxed out though considering the runner is a SoCal street queen....It's actually my Daily Driver. The weekend car is a 500HP 2013 Camaro.

1.) You control arm, aftermarket or not, will more than likely contact your coil at full droop.
2.) You will bottom out your shock easier, damaging it.

I would recommend a spindle lift since you are 2wd.

Yeah, I was thinking about going that route with the Max Trax spindles but I'm not thrilled about how far they push the front wheels out. Unfortunately im not really into the much wider front look. It's great if you're doing a ton of desert racing but for driving on the road I think it looks a little poserish or "broish" if you will.
I'm still not 100% sure that I wont gothat route and just crank the Icons way down but if I do that it'll be awhile before that happens because i'll have to get bigger tires.

thanks for the input though man.
