front sway bar end links with 3" lift...where to buy?

hey all, new member here...i'll save an official intro post for another time but for now i have a quick question. i've searched and searched for an answer to this and can't quite seem to figure it out. i have a broken front sway bar end link and would like to get a new set for the front. what is on there currently are the stock ones as far as i can tell and as far as i've read it's advised to have extended links with a lift. i've seen plenty of posts about building your own and that is definitely an option, but ideally i'd love to just buy a set and be done with it. i was looking at some of the deeza parts from rock auto.com but as far as i can tell, those will be the same length as the stock ones. so does anyone sell extended ones that would work well with my 3" lift, or could i extend the deeza ones myself somehow?

thanks in advance for any help!

Check out my build thread. The link is on the bottom of my signature. Click on the link and look at like page 3-7. It's in there. Mine are the rear links from a 94 4runner. Over time the bushings smashed down and created a gap so I need to put another spacer in . If you have any more questions just post on this thread. Ps. Welcome to the forum.

You can also check my thread. I bought some extended links from bikerjosh , they have worked out great so far.

Did you use the search method linked in my signature below?

Send me a PM. I make them and have a listing here. I have standard links, single disconnect, and double quick disconnect.

No sway bar FTW. To much work to disconnect and if you leave them connected under high flex they just break. Even aftermarkets. Gotta love the lean.

Im sure that bolt could stretch and break. I made some aftermarket ones and I broke them, but again thats just my opinion.

I guess it could break if you put 9,939.6 pounds of pressure on the bolt. But yes, things do fail due to various reasons.

I got a pair of the double disconnects. I think the idea is, at least what I'll be doing, is leaving them connected for on-road driving, where it's not likely at all that they'll break, and disconnect them whenever I go wheeling. They don't take long at all to disconnect. I can disconnect them at the same time as I air down, and the reconnect them as I'm airing back up. Windy back roads with no sway bars was wearing me out haha.

Run without the sway bar...enjoy the shoulda lean...

i know that's an option, but i live on a mountain where i have to drive 20+ miles of twisty curvy roads as part of my commute a couple times a week that would be a lot more sketchy of a drive without them :lookout:

looks like that's going to be the route i take as well!

Lol I've been up to Idyllwild multiple times, so I know which roads you're talking about. And although I have driven those roads with no sway bars, it definitely sucked. I think you have the right idea going with quick disconnects for those bad boys.

I installed a drop bracket for the bar. Attaches to the frame and drops the bar. So far so good and a cheaper alternative to the custom quick disconnects.

I could barely notice a little more roll after removing it. I can tell you my Wife and two little girls couldnt even tell and my wife always complains. You get way more body roll from a lift kit than just removing the front sway. But I always keep the back fully connected with SS rear sway bay lift brackets. Allows full flex with the rear connected.

so since my front passenger side end link was broken anyway i went ahead and removed the broken one and the other driver's side link before i went out for a bit of wheeling today. man oh man what a difference off road without the end links! loved the way it handled without them off road, but i'd definitely like to have them for all the on road trips down the mountain so it looks like a pair of quick disconnects are in my future...best of both worlds :)

one quick question though, if i'm out wheeling with the end links disconnected, do i need to do anything to secure the sway bar?

thanks again for all the help and advice everyone!

from the end of our off road adventure tonight...couldn't resist...
