Front sway links for 2” lift

There used to be some info here about an easy swap for sway bar end links. I can’t seem to find it.

98 with 2” lift, I need new front links.

Was it the rear links that are longer than front so it works to use the rears up front after the lift?

Move the stock 3rd gen front end links to the rear. Buy a set of 2nd Gen 4Runner Rear end links for the front.

I think -this- is what your looking for using 2nd gen links on the front of our 3rd gens.

2nd gen rear links are thinner in diameter, and I'm pretty sure Steve from sonoran steel did some testing and found extended or disconnected front links didn't help with flex, CV's are the limiting factor.

Tinker proved that disconnecting the front bar while leaving the rear bar attached on an IFS suspension vehicle results in more articulation. Very scientific method and results:

The Trakmotive CVs have more range than the stock CVs. Worthwhile upgrade.

I'll check out that video later tonight for a deeper understanding, no time currently.

Just curious. you say 2" lift, what kind? Suspension? Body?

About to put Trakmotives on mine with a combination of lifts (don't ask, that's next to get resolved), hopefully resolving a clunk.

This is about the only other component not checked off as not being functionally "in spec".

So I'm super curious what issue arise when not addressed.

You definitely don't want thinner links in the front (stock 2WD front links are also thin..):

At this point, I run a THICKER rear bar and a disconnected front. It still in there strapped up, in case I ever want to reconnect it...
