....front tires feathering/scalloped??

Hey guys, about 9 months ago I installed new suspension on my 06; 5100's, new springs, etc... I also mounted LT 255/75R17 BFG Mud Terrains on the vehicle. It's been about 8000 miles and the front is loud as hell..big time scalloping with the 2 front tires....what gives? Could it be the shop screwed up the alignment 9 months ago? Any other reasons why they are scalloped like this? Frustrated. The truck seems to run smooth at all speeds; no shaking in the steering column or front end as far as I can tell.

Usually due to alignment. But could be dying balljoints causing the toe to shimmy back-and-forth when going down the road.

Check tire pressures, worn suspension components, alignment.

I would recommend 5k tire rotations with this setup.

Sounds like you toe needs to be reset. As stated above, it could be from several factors as in worn chassis parts, and you may have hit something hard which could have knocked out the front toe. Knocking the toe out of spec on our T-4's is pretty easy to do if, like me, you tend to run hard and sometimes come across one of those "gotchas."
