wanted to see if I can get some helpful hints, tips, and required tools for replacing the upper ball joints and wheel bearings on my '01. I don't have a garage and live on a hill so unfortunately I have to rent out shop space at $30/hr. I want to make sure I show up with all my bases covered.
I've seen write-ups out there with all sorts of different ways so I would like to get some feedback from people who have tackled this job on what they would've done to get the job done quicker. Since time is of the essence ($$$), I'd rather spend a few bucks on specialty tools then waste hours fighting.
I'm pretty confident I can take the knuckle off pretty easily...the following steps, not so confident. Can someone point me to what ball joint presses works best? What kind of spacers will I need to push the bearings/hub in and out? Dimensions (diameters, heights, etc) would be helpful. The shop is pretty well equipped and has a hydraulic press but I don't know if they'll have everything I need. Any other specialty tools that I should consider buying ahead of time?
Replacement parts I have bought so far:
Can I reuse everything else or should I buy additional parts?
