Front windshield wiper arms

Hello again,

I have a 2004 4Runner SR5 V8. I'm looking for the front windshield wiper arms. By "arms" I referring to the arms that bolt to the windshield wiper motor. Both the driver and passenger arms a skipping across the windshield. Does anyone have any idea where I can purchase these without going to the dealership? Just for sh*ts and giggles, I called my local dealership. They told me there are a couple of different arms. It depends on my VIN. Prices start at $175.00. These are special order parts and non-refundable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I went through something simular last year with my wiper arms. Go online to the OEM Toyota parts suppliers. I paid around $56 for one for my 5th gen. Price them from multiple sources. Good luck

Why would the arms cause the blade to skip across the window??

Why would the arms cause the blade to skip across the window??

I pulled both arms off. The splines on the arms are very worn down. It's my understanding that would cause the blades to skip across the windshield. Also, I've already replaced the blades and the assembly the blades attach to.

A light application of jb weld, and bolt them back together. It will hold for awhile then the epoxy will break down . But will buy you time to find the parts.

I drilled my old subaru's wiper arm/ motor shaft and installed a roll pin. Lasted thru selling the car.
